Aneroid Barometer – An Aneroid barometer is an instrument used to measure atmospheric pressure. It uses a small flexible vacuum chamber. Small changes in external air pressure cause the cell to expand or contract. This expansion and contraction drives mechanical levers such that the small movement of the capsule is amplified and could be read on the dial. When the atmospheric pressure increases this chamber gets compressed, and when the atmospheric pressure decreases the chamber gets expanded.
